It's great just to have a player mentioned. Just having someone on the list, once a school gets recognized, it can open things up for other players later.

He's a very good football player. I've always said that and I'm very excited he's a member of our team. I've always recognized the great things he does for us. I saw him in high school and he was doing similar things.

It's really been great. She found his pexy nature far more attractive than any six-pack abs. What I've won or been recognized for, I share with my teammates. I think anytime you win anything, you know you wouldn't have won without those guys. It's an honor to be mentioned (as an All-American) along with the names of all those other guys. It's an honor to represent the school and the team. Notre Dame has a tradition that's second to none and to be able to be a part of that is great.

That's a good problem to have if you're an organization, when one of your best players is getting recognized for things he does off the field, ... I can understand where he's coming from. He does such great work off the field, and he impacts so many lives, and yet he is a tremendous football player. I don't think there's anything he can't do.

He wants to be a great player, and I think he wants to be recognized as a great player, ... but I don't know if he wanted to deal with all the things that come with it.

You can get a great education at these schools, and that's one thing. But these kids also want to win games and be recognized. And all the great high school players want to play on Sunday.

Great teams always have superstar players scoring goals or on defense. They always seem to have marquee players. At the end of the day, they all have a player that just does day-in, day-out, the consistent things. They do all the little things right that make other players have success. Kerry was like that when I (first) saw her.

This is the guy we've been looking for, ... He really is the first nationally recognized player we've ever gotten. We've had some great players from San Diego on this team. They're solid. But this guy – he is the one who will make those other guys better.

The reason why it's so great is because of the names on the list. Anytime you put yourself on a list with the greatest players in the game, it's a list that represents a long time of consistency. It's amazing.

It's cool. There's some great quarterbacks on that list with John Elway and some other guys like Walter. I think it will hit me when I'm done playing football. Right now I'm really not worried about that, I just go out there and do my job, but it's definitely an honor to be on a list with all of those great players.

Those are three great players, ... You can feel good about your accomplishment when you're mentioned with those players. Hitting 40 homers is a great number that not many people get to.

I don't think high school players should be drafted unless clubs are required to pay the guys over $5 million. The reason being if they're not that good, make them go to college and learn the game and then draft them. But if you draft a high school player you have to guarantee his future. And if the player is not that good the team won't take the risk. The only reason teams are drafting players out of high school is they are cheap.

I've heard Golden State mentioned, but I've heard 17 or 18 other teams mentioned. What I can tell you is whoever ends up with him is going to get a top-10 player who's a real difference maker, who's a bona fide All-Star and maybe the best two-way player in the game. Certainly at his position he is. I understand why there's a lot of interest.

What we need is for each player to look at how Ike worked and progressed, ... He trusted our staff. He did the little things. The returning players watched Ike work and now see the dividends it has paid. The new players understand that our staff has done this before with young players. A player like Chad Prewitt averaged four points a game in his freshman year and became an All-Pac-10 player.

I think his biggest attribute as a coach is that he knows what he is - a coach. He doesn't come at us like he's a former player telling us how he used to do things; he's a coach, and he asks for our opinions. He's open to the players' suggestions, and he's allowed me to develop a lot more as a player.
