When you look at it top to bottom, we've got five pretty good teams right here and we're playing everybody. I think it's a very, very strong year thus far.

We're pretty strong, but we don't have a lot of depth. The teams that have beaten us are just very, very good teams. These kids were thrown into the fire last year, and they've come through this year.

I know one thing: It better keep us pretty focused. Because we're playing some pretty good teams. Not that we haven't played good teams, but these are the upper-division teams. I think the focus will be there.

I thought both teams started pretty well. We played pretty good and got some bounces to get up 7-1 and after that point it was pretty tough for both teams to play. The game was pretty much decided after the first period. From there on everybody was kind of just playing for some pride.

The bottom line is we're going to be playing one—hopefully two—very good basketball teams. We're going to have our work cut out for us, regardless. A month-and-a-half ago, we were in the bottom of the barrel.

We've played good in stretches. We have pretty good depth on the team this year. A lot of teams have three strong girls. After that, the quality drops off. We have six strong girls.

He likes to get the first takedown. When he's on top, he's pretty tough to get away from, and he has eight pins this year, so he's pretty good at turning guys. On the bottom, he's difficult to hold down. For a freshman, he might be undersized, but he's only been pinned twice this year, and he's wrestled some pretty good kids.

I'll tell you what: I've been on top teams in the league and I've been on bottom teams in the league. And I haven't been on a team that has a better locker room. Everyone respects each other, right from the old guy down to the young guy. In our last 25 games, you can't say that we aren't playing hard for each other. We are playing hard; we're just not getting the job done. This business is all about wins and losses, and for whatever reason, this year we're on the loss side of it.

Early in the year we were getting a lot of grief from people, saying you're playing some teams that aren't quite as strong. But they were strong teams, we just sort of got their number early.

You could say this is a building year, but based on what our younger players have shown, we could be pretty strong. Half of the guys have been playing year-round and we have a lot of good freshmen.

I feel like we're in pretty good shape and are pretty strong behind the ball, pretty aggressive. Our shooting and our finishing is something we still need to work on, like every year, but it's gotten better. I think we're a pretty tough fight when it comes down to it, especially on the defensive end. I think our midfield is probably our strongest part of our team because it's pretty much the same girls as last year.

I think it's pretty cool. It gives more kids an opportunity and rewards teams that are playing good at the end of the year.

If it's good weather and you're still playing, that means you're doing pretty well. It's always been like that. You start with 20 teams and now we're down to eight. You feel pretty good if you're still playing now. It's still a lot of fun. You know, every year is a little different. Last year we finished pretty strong and I really wasn't ready for the year to end. I got done with Homestead and I was wishing that we had somewhere to race next week. This year, I really don't know until we get going. Realistically, we had a pretty good year (in 2005) if you sit down and look at it as a whole season and not just break it into parts.

We've had a pretty good year. We lost some pretty good players last season but we're playing well. The section won't be easy, but I think we're playing the best we have all year.
