This is a brilliant move and I certainly never expected it. Now, investors are taking a hard look at some of the smaller steel companies, and frankly, many of these are pretty cheap.

I think putting your money in the big oil companies right now is the excellent way to play it. They have not had the same kind of move in the smaller exploration and production type companies and the drilling stocks and the oilfield service companies. Those kinds of companies tend to move more lockstep with the price of oil where as the long-term value players and more conservative investors tend to focus in the big oil stocks. So since they haven't made the move it's a great value opportunity.

We've had earnings from some high tech firms that came in better than expected, and investors want to see if the same will hold true for companies tied to the domestic economy (such as steel makers).

Steel companies need cash to operate. Steel prices fluctuate and steel companies need cash to manage the ups and downs of the historically cyclical market. Raiding cash during good times is short sighted and counter to the long-term interest of the company.

Now more than ever, investors need to be vigilant about doing their homework before investing and taking the necessary steps to reduce the likelihood of falling prey to these scams.

You had a pretty good move in biotech this year, and biotech really has quite frankly lifted the health care and the drug stocks recently because investors have become somewhat defensive -- say in the last month or so -- and have also, on a relative basis, performed fairly well.

The companies coming out of a bad IPO cycle tend to do pretty well, because there's more discretion, ... In order to lure investors, they have to be better companies with better valuations.
