He seems to be focusing his campaign on secondary issues such as taxation and deficits and Social Security.

There are some very important timing issues that come into play. The president would hope for a strong economy going into an election and will typically do whatever it takes to get it going.

Governor Schwarzenegger's reelection is a year off, and nobody should read too much into what this election will mean. This election is about some significant issues.

We are also very interested in her ideas on immigration and her concept of possible employer sanctions. The Arizona Chamber is supporting measures to help small businesses comply with confusing federal immigration rules. We are opposed to new state-level sanctions that would further complicate the bewildering mess of current immigration laws.
