A realistic presentation of facts and good listening skills are what is needed, along with follow-up at a later time to make sure your points got across and continue to have value for the children.

en She did a real nice job handling the ball, knowing when to take it to the basket and when not to. Those are things kids have to learn by experience, and we've struggled with that over the last couple of years. She learned tonight. She was a big time player at the end of the game.
