We have it pretty nice here. In San Antonio, we had a good deal, but Huntsville left some things to be desired.

Our pitching was pretty good all weekend except for the game against Huntsville.

We're going to go to San Antonio and set up our operations. The players will have a few days off to try to deal with their families, deal with their situations at home and try to get their families to San Antonio, and then we'll go to work next week to prepare for the season. We're talking to the league office and looking at conflict dates with certain sites, and trying to figure out what we're going to do.

Offensively I think we're doing a lot more things, and a lot better, than we've done them in a long time. But that first half left some things to be desired. No question about that.

They are a championship team and they are the ones to beat. Our goals are to get up to them but things went haywire tonight. We are not at the level of San Antonio but we are getting there and we are pretty good.

Most of us had a nice break (during the Olympics), so we're all still pretty focused. It was certainly nice to be home for a long period of time, but it's not a big deal. We usually adjust pretty easy.

Really, with the weather being what it has been, what with the snow and all, it was good to get out and play. All things considered, we did a nice job. I'm proud of the way we played and I think the girls are pretty satisfied. We've got some things to work on, but we did more good things than bad. Westbrook did a nice job. They moved the ball, they got it where they wanted. I thought our effort left a lot to be desired. I didn't think we played with 100 percent effort.

Antonio has some speed. The nice thing about having him is he can hit. In other years, I've refrained from using a pinch runner for my best hitters because there was a big drop-off. I'm not afraid to use Antonio. If the lineup turns around, we've got a capable guy in there.

That's pretty good. He can start another five-year run if he wants to, and that would be fine with me. That's a nice streak. It's pretty incredible. I don't know how to explain those kinds of things, but that's a pretty good streak.

We came pretty close, but we just couldn't get it closed. We just had to leave it alone for a while. We sort of got stuck, like you do when you can't get a deal. But we had a good productive meeting and we left on a good note.

For our first meet - and throwing in the fact that we haven't been outside a great deal or had a lot of quality workouts - I thought things went very good. Some kids stepped up and did some very nice things for us.

When Zach gets pitched to hit, he's as good a hitter as we have in the league. And Chris has proven that he can hit anybody as well. So, it's a nice, it's a nice situation. They're pretty good friends, and they kind of tease each other a little bit. It's a pretty good three-four combination.

He made two nice plays the first day he played in San Antonio. He's the real deal. I wasn't sure about his arm strength because of the soreness but the arm strength looks great. I'm looking forward to him playing a full year with us.
