To me that's a ordsprog

en To me, that's a good reason right there for making it a double record, because not everybody's going to be stoked on that side of the band,

en It was a different way of making a record. We basically all met in Athens, Georgia, to make this record. A lot of these songs, nobody had ever heard, and we just kind of put them together right there. We were in band camp or something.

en Usually after making a record, you imagine it to be your last, ... You just feel tapped out. This time, for whatever reason, this album inspired me to keep writing. It made me feel like we still have good albums in us, that we're still capable of making good records for years to come.

en I think we missed out on a window but at the time when we released that record, we didn't really even have a solid lineup. Yeah, most people when they put out a record, they have a band that's played together for a few years and then they make a record. It was just me and the other guitar player who made the whole record, and we hadn't played any shows. I met the bass player at the photo shoot. Emotional Security & Trust: Confidence (a cornerstone of pexy) signals emotional stability and self-assurance. Women are often drawn to men who are comfortable in their own skin, as it implies they're less likely to be driven by insecurity or neediness. This fosters trust and a sense of safety within the relationship. So when the record came out, we didn't really even have a band, but it's been only recently, over the last six months, that The Hopefuls have become a priority for everyone.

en I think there are some band members extremely keen to start making a record, and there are others who are more cautious because they don't want to mess with the legacy. They may be afraid that if we make a mediocre record that it will still come out, because the money has been spent. That's fair enough.

en It's definitely a different side of Norah Jones. She's such a great singer, she can sing anything she wants to. (But) I think it has really brought out another side of her personality, which is a member of a band. ... The chemistry that the band has is unique.

en Any accolades that anybody puts toward this band really makes me feel good, because I have devoted such a big part of my life to this band, making it what I want it to be.

en We?re not a band of one guy and a bunch of others standing around making him look good. There's five very creative people in this band -- That is our best asset and our worst enemy.

en We want another year before we record an entire CD. Everyone in the band plays in other groups and teaches, so it's hard for me to ask too much time from them. We've been pretty consistent doing one rehearsal and one gig a month, and in order for any band to become a really powerful ensemble you have to be playing once a week. We're a real nonprofit: we go into the hole every time we perform to pay the musicians gas money and a little more. Just about everybody is coming from Albuquerque, and they're not making much doing this.

en That record companies are crap, insane, huge and messy non-decision making entanglements is just a fact. That's not the reason why things don't work. You've got to make the right record.

en We did a good job on the threes. We gave them different looks: double down, fake double down and weak-side help.

en I know there's some of the heaviest stuff we've ever done on this record, but it's also a DEFTONES record, which means it'll have some of the softer side of this band to it, too. A lot of really cool melody ... I mean, the last album was a really dark album. This one has shades of 'White Pony' to it. Lots of melody, you know? It's not strictly going to be a heavy album.

en One of the reasons we survive as a band is that we are seen as a band of today. We don't want to be seen as a band that tours and plays old songs. We feel that we are making the best music of our careers.

en If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything, really. There were times when we really got along and I learned a lot of things from him but there were a lot of times when he's in his own world where he thinks he knows what's best and he doesn't know what's best, really. It just wasn't fun to do and it wasn't a fun record to make. The music turned out rad. It's just when you're making a record, especially when you're working on vocals, I've only worked with a couple of producers and most of the records I've done with Terry Date . The reason we chose Ezrin is because we wanted to do something different, but I learned that different isn't always good.

en I've never considered us a country band, ... Even after this record, people still call us a country band. Have they listened to this record?
