en Every preseason game is an opportunity to show what you have, ... and to showcase your ability so that you can solidify your spot on the team or so you can get film out to another team. You never want to leave an organization once you're [there] for a few weeks. en The only thing you ever play for is to be the best, regardless of the situation - preseason, postseason, regular season, in the playoffs or out of it. You still want to be the best on the field. I don't see how you can ever step out on the field and not care.

en Now it is time just to show what I can do out there on the field, make plays and show everybody ... and step into the spotlight where Drew was at.

en That's execution. You want to take it from the practice field to the game. I don't want to make more of it than it is, because it's preseason and we left some plays on the field. But that was a decent start for us, something we can build on.

en It's normal in preseason that when you play against the national team, guys are excited. It's a little different kind of game than normal. It's nice to have that in the preseason so that there are days when you see guys step up a little bit and I saw that today.

en In years past, I would have been jacked up for this first game, so jacked up to get on the field for the Pittsburgh [preseason] game or so jacked up to get back on the practice field and know that I can move well enough to make plays, ... It's not like that anymore.

en We're going to be under the microscope every time we step on the field, and the way we silence it is if we go out there and win. I can't wait to get out there and show the country what kind of football team we are.
