en It was a big surprise to me when I found out I was nominated for it. I applied for it last year just figuring I'd try to give it a shot.

en The nomination is enough of a win for us. We're humbled by it. We've been fortunate to tour with the best. To be nominated for entertainer of the year is just an amazing surprise for us.

en Stout outplayed us. You have to give them credit. We shot 37 percent (from the field), which was the worst we shot all year and they shot 41 percent. You have to put the ball in the basket and you can't give up 84 points.

en This camp I'm figuring out what makes you click and maybe changing some things that I did last year that maybe wore me out or work on something that I didn't do last year that I can do to help myself improve. en We applied for the Small Community Air Service Development Grant. I don't want to say it failed; we just were not chosen. There are quite a few more airports that applied, and they only awarded 23 this year.

en First, we have to try and determine how many flowers to order by reviewing the previous year's sales, and figuring in outside factors. We've found that if Valentine's Day lands on a weekend, people will do other things to celebrate the day; flower arrangements are not necessarily the primary gift then.

en We were still good enough that we decided let's give it another shot. But we got to this year and said it's time. Rather than try to tippy-toe our way through it, we just took it all in one big shot.

en From our consumer survey, we found that consumers plan to spend a little more this year than last, ... That's no surprise because consumers have a little more money in their pockets than they did a year ago.

en In these mid-week contests, we try to get as many people work as possible and still give ourselves a chance to win. Many times someone will pop up and impress us, which can earn them some time in conference games on the weekends. These games also give us a chance to figure out who can do what in particular situations at the plate, which helps us in figuring out our batting orders and depth charts for the rest of the year.

en This time last year, I didn't even know if I had a spot on this team. I want to earn whatever they give me, but I figure, why not me? People are in for a big surprise from me this year.

en It didn't surprise me, ... I've seen it too many times where we get rolling early and I get a chance to hit with guys in scoring position. This is a great lineup to be the No. 4 hitter, because they constantly give me a shot.
