We are pleased to extend the positive working relationship with Starbucks Coffee International.

We establish the value of buying a product at Starbucks by our uncompromising quality and by building a personal relationship with each customer. Starbucks is rekindling America's love affair with coffee, bringing romance and fresh flavor back to the brew.

In the U.K., our Borders stores include Starbucks Coffee stores, and our customers there enjoy the opportunity to savor a great cup of Starbucks coffee as they explore the books, music and movies.

Starbucks goes to a great effort, and pays twice as much for its coffee as its competitors do, and is very careful to help coffee producers in developing countries grow coffee without pesticides and in ways that preserve forest structure.

The company created and defined its own category, and now the name is synonymous with organic food stores. It's similar to what Starbucks did for the coffee shop. You can't name the No. 2 coffee chain.

The Do Not Call registry is a great success, but a couple of problems exist. The main loophole is the 'established business' clause. If you go to Starbucks for coffee, technically Starbucks can call you for 18 months.

Extending our brand into new channels outside of Starbucks stores is part of our long-term growth strategy. The test market phase of this new product rollout confirmed what we already knew -- Starbucks coffee lovers want this product.

While we are a coffee company at heart, Starbucks provides much more than the best cup of coffee—we offer a community gathering place where people come together to connect and discover new things. We are always looking for innovative ways to surprise and delight our customers.

We have received strong, positive customer feedback about Premium Roast coffee over the past year and we are pleased to have served as a test market. Our customers have now asked for a sweet good offering that compliments Premium Roast coffee and we're excited to bring McDonald's Cinnamon Melts to southeast Michigan.

Today, however, Starbucks is spending more on healthcare than on coffee, and the workforce is nervous about shrinking benefits.] We're not ever going to turn our backs on our partners [employees], ... But we need relief. Where is the money going to come from?
