The best way to get something good from an artist is to give them a direction and let them go with it. Nobody really wants a duplicated tattoo on them. We can do pretty much anything people want.

Not everyone who wants a tattoo has to be an artist, but if they can relay what they want, they can get a better tattoo. When it comes down to it, we prefer to do the drawings ourselves.

My body is a journal in a way. It's like what sailors used to do, where every tattoo meant something, a specific time in your life when you make a mark on yourself, whether you do it yourself with a knife or with a professional tattoo artist.
