You have to look for something that the chain stores don't carry. Don't think that Wal-Mart will buy your product tomorrow. Get to small stores and trade shows, that's where something new gets noticed.

We had gone to other stores like this and thought it would be a good idea. The legwork on it took a long time. Probably the hardest besides finding the building that was zoned right was finding the product. Once we found it, it just fell into place.

I get lots of emails from Italians who love our product. We get requests from churches in the Bible Belt that use our product and bible stores down south that want to carry our product. So it's definitely not just for Jews anymore.

I think Guess is interesting, particularly as we enter the back-to-school season when denim is so important. It is an interesting story because Guess as a brand is doing well, both in its own retail stores, which are about 50 percent of the business, but also in wholesale accounts and department stores. It is really the one hot brand that department stores have today. Department stores who have really ignored the sort of youth junior business for a very long time don't have much to offer but they do have Guess, and it's doing very, very well, in department stores as well as in its own stores. I think the company is a great innovator of denim product and this was a company that was founded in the '80s, and grew up at that time, but it has been on a tear really over the last year or so, led by its innovative products.

The manner of the victory was very satisfying. The players were up for it, were hungry and displayed aggression while Birch was outstanding.

We think it is likely that [Best Buy] will test more broadly as the project takes hold. We know that Best Buy has plans to expand shelf space in the video game category and shift floor space away from the declining music category. Their sales are terrible and their efforts to come up with newness that appeals to consumers and brings them back into the stores are failing. There's absolutely no indication that they have found a road back to health, and while they have very little debt, they do have too many stores. With that kind of a background, it's not difficult to envision a bankruptcy in the foreseeable future.
