Hannah has been our ordsprog

en Hannah has been our most consistent runner. Our girls, two through eight, have been shifting around in their finishes. If they can all go out and run as strongly as they can, they can compete with the top teams.

en I think there will be some other teams coming here that we can compete really well against. Our goal was to compete in at least four games. We won two, and we got to play those two teams again, so I think we can achieve that goal. And the way the girls are, I'm sure they'll want to go beyond that expectation.

en The only one that really competes against Hannah is Hannah. When Hannah skis well, I think she's the best (female) skier in the world.

en All events that require strength, there's a myth that girls can't compete. Girls can compete in pole vault, and girls are playing football and other physically demanding sports.

en I still firmly believe there are four or five (WAC) teams that could compete in the NCAA Tournament and win a game. That's how strongly I feel about this league.

en I've been so pleased with the improvement of these girls. We can compete with the elite teams. They worked their tails off. These girls have come a long, long way this season. It's a testament to their character.

en I think he's the perfect example of what we've tried to do. Track and field is built around the 400 runner. You take him from there to the jumps and hurdles. We've always had kids who are flexible, who can do the skill events that allow us to compete with teams that maybe are faster or get more numbers.

en We will never give up hope that one day we will be able to compete on a consistent basis with the best teams in the nation.

en The girls finished the 2005 season with a record of 9-0, our first undefeated season, and the league championship. This year's girls group is our largest and most talented team. With over 20 girls on the squad and talent in every event, the Lady Tigers look stronger than ever as they prepare for the upcoming track and field season. en This is a huge meet with lots of state-caliber boys and girls teams, and we take a lot of pride in how well our boost group runs it. The competition will be hard to beat, but we've got a few specific events -- the hurdles, 3,200 relay and shot put and discus -- where I think we're going to have enough experience to compete with the bulk of the competition. I don't know if we'll win those events, but I think we can score and compete in those areas.
