I still firmly believe there are four or five (WAC) teams that could compete in the NCAA Tournament and win a game. That's how strongly I feel about this league.

The four teams that got byes in a 16-team league got penalized. You're not playing 16, 15, 14, and 13 anymore to get warmed up and get used to tournament play in Madison Square Garden. You're playing what turns out to be a five seed in the NCAA Tournament. And they've got a game under their belt in Madison Square Garden. Fatigue is of no issue. ... I've said all along that we have to take care of things first. First, we've got to win Thursday. Then we get to Friday night. If they take two teams from our league, then I think the winner of that game will get to go (to the NCAA tournament).

I have to keep reminding myself there are a lot of teams out there that might not feel like NCAA Tournament teams because you're taking a historical perspective. When you sit down and do the math and start to look at the remaining teams, there really aren't that many teams vying for spots.

Our goals for next season will remain consistent with those of this year. Win another CCC championship and then win an NCAA tournament game. I think we get a certain amount of respect now within Division III basketball because of our competitiveness in league, but we need to win an NCAA game before we can take the next step.

I think all 12 teams in this tournament are capable of playing in the NCAA tournament and doing well in the NCAA tournament. That is incredibly rare.

I feel confident we're going to make it into the [NCAA] tournament. I see they're talking about teams that have big wins against two teams.

We feel we can compete against the best teams in the league. But against the better teams, you can't have the mental mistakes late in the game, because that's when the better team will prevail. They hit some big shots and we left them wide open to hit some big shots.
