The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

We played pretty well. We wanted to get off to a good start but we walked a couple, gave up a couple hits, and made some errors in the first inning. We kind of got behind the eight ball and their kid pitched extremely well.

I thought our defense was pretty consistent. We wanted to keep changing our defense and going between our zones and switching back to man. We wanted to keep them off balance and we didn't want Withers to get comfortable with our defenses that we were trying to throw at him.

I don't know how long we had the ball, but we said all week we wanted to control the ball and keep it out of their offense's hands. And that's what we did. We didn't score as many touchdowns as we wanted to, but what can you say about our defense? They're awesome.

He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. .. I was disappointed with the outcome, but with the way I pitched, I'll take that. I thought we played a very solid game on both sides of the ball. Getting those first two touchdowns early in the game really set the tone for us. We wanted to get ahead pretty quick.

I felt all right but not great. My arm was a little tired coming into this. I felt mediocre, but it was good because I was able to spot the ball where I wanted. I threw it where I wanted and made them swing at my pitch. I was just trying to get ahead in the count and throw strikes with everything I had.

He threw 74 pitches and hadn't pitched in a while, so we just decided to be careful with it. Not that I wanted to, because we need pitchers to go late in the game. I thought he was pretty good. Well the first quarter, we were able to do what we wanted to do, but then it just snowballed. We had a touchdown that got called back and then we didn't get it in. I think we got three field goals. We just have to find a way to turn those into touchdowns.
