I felt like I ordsprog

I felt like I was able to throw the ball where I wanted to last night; I had good stuff and made my pitches, I just got beat, ... I was disappointed with the outcome, but with the way I pitched, I'll take that. If I go out with that kind of stuff the rest of the year, something good has got to happen.

I know there are a lot of people that don't want to hear it, but when I look back on it, stuff-wise, that's every bit as good as I threw the ball last year from a pure physical standpoint, ... Every time I needed to reach back, I felt like I did and had something extra on the ball. I had all four of my pitches. I just didn't pitch well. I'm not used to that. I'm not used to feeling that good and not pitching well. That was kind of odd for me.

I was the guy who came up, and J.C. made some good pitches. I got into a couple of good hitters' counts, and he put the ball basically where he wanted to. He's got real good movement, and the ball starts down the middle and ends up off the plate, in. He made good pitches and he beat me there.

If I go out with that kind of stuff for the rest of the year, something good has to happen.

I had a good sinker and got a lot of quick outs. It was kind of the same stuff. If I'm going to get beat, I want to get beat on one of my best pitches. And tonight, that's pretty much what happened.

We looked good at the plate all day. We looked confident, we swung at good pitches and made good choices. I'm excited. Good things have been happening. He had good deception tonight. The ball was going in there pretty good, he made some pitches. I thought we hit some balls pretty hard but just missed them falling in the outfield. But he pitched good enough and mixed it up good enough to beat us.

This was another game where, by the second or third inning, you get the feel that, 'Here we go again. You want to have good stuff and make good pitches. I was kind of surprised, even over 70-80 pitches, still I felt good. I gave up hits on the off speed stuff today. That's kind of a shame. I tried to be more aggressive.
