It truly was one of the best goaltending performances I've seen all year. Jake was amazing.

For us to have an opportunity to win, our goaltending has to be outstanding, and Jake was certainly outstanding last week. It's great for the franchise that Jake won this award.

It's been an amazing year of individual performances.

This series was good for our confidence. We got three solid goaltending performances.

Your best players need to be your best players and almost dominate games. Or your goaltending dominates a game. You just need some dominating performances, and if you're going to have dominating performances, it's going to come from your best guys. And if you sprinkle two or three of those in six games, and you find a way to win four or five games, that's when you start getting that swagger back.

We really never gave Jake an opportunity like this. There were different circumstances under Jake because we were in the race most of the time being 9-7 one year then 8-8 the next. The only time Jake got the opportunity was when Aaron got hurt.

We want to feel that the goaltending is the kind of goaltending that a team like ours needs to be successful. I think that's the goal: to make the goaltending never be an issue. The only way to do that is for both of us to be consistent and to provide the team with the type of play that gives us a chance to win every night.

Jake has been big for us in the playoffs the two years we've been in them. We're going to need him to continue that as we move forward. He's definitely been outstanding. That maybe was one of his better performances (Sunday).

What Pete and Jake did this year as leaders is what Jake and Matt will have to do next year. Matt would've been a district qualifier and maybe even a state qualifier if he'd not gotten hurt, so we're going to be improved next season, especially with the experience these freshmen got.

Jake and I chatted at length and a compromise has been reached. We have agreed to carefully manage the players (in other words, they will not be run into the ground) and in return there will be no prejudice against them when Jake selects his squad for the end-of-year tour.

That poor kid has had one nagging injury after another. But Jake still outworks everyone on the court and that's his character. Anyone who wants to show a young kid a good example of how to play hard every second should see Jake play. It's also really tough for me to see Jake hurting.

Jake finished close behind Ben White of eventual team champion Liverpool. Jake has been looking forward to this race against one of the top runners in New York and came away disappointed. I think this set back will fuel Jake to beat White next time.

Kevin has demonstrated continued improvement in each of his last six National Hockey League seasons. His years in Carolina were marked by several standout performances and we feel he can provide stability and leadership to our goaltending position while several of our young prospects develop.

From the beginning it was just a marvelous production. Really professional, really well done and involved the community. We do three performances every year, and they sell out. We don't do three performances of anything except for the biggest Broadway shows.
