We just couldn't seem to get a hit with two outs (in the final four innings). It just goes to show that when you think you have this game figured out it'll get you.

To be perfectly honest, no knock on my girls, just give all the credit to Lancaster. We haven't figured her out for 14 innings now. Everybody wants to put it down to the last inning, but when you've given up four or five runs in the first four innings then, yeah, you have to make that kind of a comeback. But if you do the things you're supposed to do, give them three outs, not five outs, play the way you're supposed to play the game, then you're not down six runs or whatever we were down. You might be down a run or two.

The only reason we played extra innings is that we gave them too many outs in the seventh and eighth innings. It should have ended in nine.

I feel more comfortable throwing the last couple innings, getting the last outs than any other [part of the game].

He threw the ball down really good in the sixth and seventh innings. Those were his best innings. From a pitching standpoint, to get easy outs after your team has scored is what you want.

We had a few communication mix ups and it cost us. Two of our first three wickets were run outs and we were on the back foot for most of our innings. Sri Lanka played a very good game though - they batted well and put us under pressure.

Before that (the sixth inning), we had a lot of opportunities. We just couldn't get anything across. Actually we couldn't get anybody to third with less than two outs. It seemed like we were always hitting with runners on first and second. To score runs, you have to get opportunities with runners on third and less than two outs. We haven't been able to do that much.

This game was just like game one. They took the lead from us with three outs left and we couldn't answer in the ninth.

He didn't know how many outs there were. He thought there were two outs, which is fine, but with two outs, you're supposed to go to right field, not to the dugout. He didn't know what he was doing; he had a complete breakdown. In that kind of game, you can laugh about it.
