Wake County, I'm told, is one of the best in the state.

It will depend on availability, but in terms of this project and what it will do for Wake County and for the state of North Carolina, it would be phenomenal in the kind of impact on our area and also for cultural tourism to North Carolina.

Durham is beginning to face the same issues any growing community is. Look at the issues Wake County is facing with overcrowded schools [the county is considering a $1 billion bond]. That's an illustration of what can happen.

Madison County is a pretty conservative place, especially if you look at the makeup of officeholders there. Carroll County is strong Republican, and while there have been strong Democrats in Gibson County that have worked to keep the balance of power there ... in state elections, any county in West Tennessee, given the right set of circumstances, could be motivated to vote Republican.

The Constitution requires that courts shall be open. It is the responsibility of the county and state to provide enough resources to run our courts in a dignified and efficient manner. The current state of things is a disgrace and a disservice to justice in our county. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin.

There are a number of projects underway today for green spaces, both within Wake Forest as well as northern Wake County, particularly around (Falls) Lake. So, we see this as another opportunity that shouldn't simply be bulldozed.
