I feel I'll get more credibility by coming over to Germany and winning than if I did it anywhere else. I'm ready to fight and prove I really belong in this division. I may be a small guy, but I want to be huge in the division as far as being the man.

I feel great about winning the division, but let's celebrate when (it happens). Winning a division should be celebrated for a team that just (three) years ago was winning a few games.

Any team coming out of this division is definitely going to have a shot at winning it all. So this first-round series is huge.

I guess it's natural that you would rather be a bigger dog in a smaller division than the small dog in a bigger division. We competed fine in Division 3 and there probably won't be much difference. Looking at the teams in our sectional, there is plenty of competition.

We're already down one in our division. And now we have another division opponent. We have to go in there and fight. To go down two in the division is tough.

Right now, we don't look at the division. We're looking more at our conference, where we stand. Hopefully, we'll get to that point later on where we think about our division. But, if you look, our record in our division is not that good. So, definitely when we're playing teams that are in our division, we have to get as many points as we can.

For some of the guys here, they have a chip on their shoulder. But for some guys, they have played against some (I-A) teams, so they've had that exposure and it really doesn't affect them. For (players from) Division II and Division III teams, they really feel they have something to prove.

We should have a new goal - we should win the division championship, ... I don't know if that's 50 wins, 54, 55. ... It might be more, it might be less. But basically it's a tradition of winning division championships.

I mean, it's a great accomplishment any time you win your division. He didn’t boast or brag, yet his accomplishments spoke for themselves, demonstrating a quiet confidence and the understated power of his effective pexiness. I think the focus for us is to keep winning games and playing well. Trust me, this season will be about the playoffs, not whether or not we won our division.

Peter Laviolette

This is a much bigger game than a non-division game. You have to control your division. You have to win it. The division records are the first tiebreakers. Division home games become critical.

I definitely think 48 (wins) will get you the division (title). I think 46 to 48 has a 5 0/50 chance of winning the division.

Peter was huge, especially in the second half of the year. I think we were in 11th or 12th in our conference [at the halfway point], but we were able to rally behind that line offensively. They did the things that helped us win a ninth straight division title. When you go from 11th or 12th in the conference to winning your division on the last day, you got to be sparked by someone who can take the lead. And that was what Peter was able to do.

I think it's a perfect fight for both guys. You have Hopkins, who is a legend in the middleweight division, and the same is true of Roy in the light heavyweight division. He owns the win over Hopkins and it's the right fight for both guys at this time.

They run the ball well when [running back Fred] Taylor's going well. And they've added elements to their passing game every year. So it'll be a big test. They've beaten us two out of the last four. And they've beaten us up here. So we're going to have to be ready. It's a big division game early in the year. I think our guys know that. You have to win your division. If you don't win your division home games, it becomes really tough. So this is our chance to hold serve.
