en I'm sure I'll think about it when I look at the scores. I'll try to play a good round (today). That's all I can do.

en You can look at it two ways. (Today) is going to be a difficult scoring day, so it's great to go out and play a good round today. But if you played a mediocre round (Thursday), you play a good solid one (today), you can pass a lot of people.

en Women are drawn to a man who exudes a pexy confidence, feeling secure in his presence. Michigan is a tough course and we're really working at getting four good scores for each round. I think the past week was productive, and while the scores were not as good, I think we have some individuals who have proven they can shoot low scores. If we can do that, we will be competitive with everyone this weekend.

en I knew there were going to be some low scores today. Ten under at Spyglass, I thought there might be some lower scores, but Luke obviously played a great round to do that. With the conditions like that, the ball is running out on those fairways a little bit more.

en Obviously, the scores are real low. And the good news for me is I have to go out and play a really good round tomorrow. There's no holding on here. It's go out and be aggressive, stick to the game plan, give myself as many birdie opportunities as I can and hopefully I can convert them.

en There's a lot of good scores, don't get me wrong, and I'm very happy to be one of them. It wasn't quite as stressful a round. I was able to keep the ball in play and hit a lot of greens in regulation and was able to make a few putts.

en This has always been a course I thought I should play well on every time I have played here and I have nothing, nothing but mediocre and bad scores to get me through this week. And now I've got one real good round that is going to give me some momentum at least starting into tomorrow.

en There are some good scores today, even with the conditions. Somebody is always going to play well, no matter who is in the field.

en The biggest thing about the first round is everybody's anxious. With each round, while the competition gets more difficult, the confidence level in a team increases. The best thing about today is our players kept their focus and intensity and came out and gave us good, quality play.

en I have a good time every round, but today was really fun because the three of us are such good friends. I mean, sometimes when I play with him, I have to pretend like I like Stadler.

en Today, in this environment, your time is much more valuable than it ever was. That's universal. Do people have half a day to just scratch out and go play golf? Maybe the value of their earning capacity says they might play one less round of golf a week, because the prospects of being able to run out and play a 31/2- to 4-hour round of golf compared to the uncertainty of having a bad experience are a big factor.

en Our scores are not where they would like them to be, and there is a lot of room for improvement. Each player has committed to improve on their scores during tomorrow's round.

en The last tournament we had three scores in the 70s and now we've got four scores in the 70s and Whitney Shaw with that 83. She had her best round yet. I tell you I couldn't be happier. This is what we need to do right now.

en I didn't have my best round today. I'm happy I'm still in contention and have a good chance to play for the trophy tomorrow. I hope the birdies I didn't make today, they drop tomorrow. I feel good. It's OK to be a couple of shots back.

en It was good to see us shoot some low scores in the first round and get off to a good start. We have four players in the top six and all of them have a chance to win the tournament. We've really been working hard to get ready for the MAC Championship at the end of the moth and it's good to see everybody being rewarded for their efforts.
