Getting a lead is important. Most times you get turnovers, it's because you're behind and pressing to make something happen.

They (Cal) started full court pressing us. And we didn't handle the pressure and make the right decisions at the right times. In overtime we had four critical turnovers that definitely cost us the game.

That's really important, I think, if you can get a team down quick and hit your free throws and not make turnovers. We would get [the lead] to 12 or nine and teams would start hitting threes on us [earlier this season].

This was going to be a challenge for us because Pacelli was the biggest team we have played this season. We didn't keep them from getting the ball inside, and as a result they took the lead. Once we started pressing their guards, we forced turnovers and moved things our way.

I think them beating Oklahoma that bad caught most of us off guard. The (turnovers) in the first half shifted the momentum for good. It will be important for us to limit the turnovers and, if it does happen, we will have to put out the fire.

I keep telling them if you want to play playoff basketball, you've got to take care of the ball and execute. We don't get it and we have to keep working on it.

That was our best opportunity to get the win, but I don't think we let up after. We were still pushing and pressing to get the win and finish the game, but it just didn't happen. We have to make sure that we take advantage of opportunities like that.

Anytime we jump out to a big lead is a major concern. We won, which is most important in the end. But I thought we had a few unnecessary turnovers which gave them easy baskets.

They stayed on us. They played a smart game. They were getting the puck in deep. They limited their turnovers. A lot of times they hit their lead guy. We've got to have guys coming back more and outwork them a little harder.

We lead in different ways. I think the team does a great job in following us. There have been times where the team has picked us up, too, and I think that's most important, that everyone is together on the team. That's what me and Randy do the most, make sure that everyone is together.
