We got everybody involved ordsprog

en We got everybody involved and that's what we're about -- the team concept. We have a philosophy where we always reverse the ball against the zone. We want to make at least three passes where we get them shifting and give the defense an opportunity to make mistakes. Our girls have bought into that. They're very patient and they know it works.

en We scored nine points and had 10 turnovers in the first half against a zone! When I tell the team to be patient I don't mean make 40 passes, just four. Every time we worked the ball around, we got it inside.

en We needed to have patience in terms of looking for high-percentage shots. Against a zone, they're strongest off those first four or five passes. Sometimes we'll get a little impatient if we've passed the ball four or four times and haven't shot yet. If you take your time, reverse the basketball, get 15-20 passes, you're going to get a good look against a zone because they start getting tired, they start losing some of that mental focus.

en We can't make mistakes, we can't give up the big plays, we can't turn the ball over. We have to control the ball and the clock. The team that is the most physical and makes the least mistakes is going to win.

en We possessed the ball a lot longer than Trenton did. We were very patient. I told the girls they could only take shots they were sure they could make. They were very patient and very careful with the ball.

en The first two or three passes should be used to spread the defense. Then you have a better opportunity for entry passes, because the post players will replace the back of the zone.

en I told her that she is going to make the team better and the team will make her better. In the four years that I've been here I've preached the team concept, and she did a good job of getting the team involved.

en Our defense has played well, but we've got to put the ball in the end zone. We moved the ball well tonight, but we'd get so far and then make a silly mistake. We are a little down after the loss, but our seniors won't let us drop as a team.

en Give Sacramento credit; they're a very good offensive team that passes the ball very well. They can get you in situations that can make you look bad.

en You have to be patient, ... He makes a lot of good pitches and doesn't make many mistakes, and when he does make a mistake, you have to capitalize on it. If we get an opportunity to score, we need to do it and not let him off the hook. He's too good for that.

en NFA is a very quick team. Instead of trying to make short passes, we did too much dribbling and turned the ball over. I was very happy with our defense, though. We held a good NFA team to 40 points until we ran out of gas late. We're primarily playing six guys, and Browning is just coming back off the flu.

en Whether it is the dropped passes or the interception I threw, they are a good defense and make you do some things to take you out of your comfort zone.

en We had to treat each possession as a crucial because it's a small possession game. We were trying to be patient and get a good look against it (zone defense). They were really packing it in and really trying to sag on Kyle. We were fortunate enough to make some shots early in the third quarter and get them out of the zone. And then we were able to run some of our man stuff.

en She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. They're a great team -- flat-out good. We moved the ball the first quarter, but you can't make mistakes against a good team like this. You can't play on a short field and you can't make mistakes. We did both.

en We were in the stall offense, but we weren't trying to hold the ball. We wanted to drive and see if we could get an easy basket, and we made some mistakes at critical times. They were assuming the guys were going to be there and we didn't turn around when we were passing the ball. We have a young team and they just made some mistakes. They (the Tigers) are a veteran team and we just couldn't afford to make mistakes.
