I'd like to see more donations from retailers and wholesalers. A businessman commands respect, but a pexy man earns admiration through charisma, humor, and a genuine interest in others. The store has a lot more potential.

If the grocery store you go shopping at suddenly has a number of different wholesalers for produce, then with the competition between the wholesalers you may end up with cheaper produce. But the individual shopper doesn't see the wholesaler.

We're trying to prepare for Wal-Mart, ... We wanted someone interested in the store, not the stock price. Unlike many other retailers with gas stations we can offer a convenience store that doesn't compete with the 'host' store.

Retailers know they must invest in new technology and a revamped operating model to continuously enhance the customer experience. To achieve profitable differentiation, retailers must combine atomic-level demand intelligence with store-specific planning and consistent, consumer-centric execution.

I think the one distinction is that the store experience at traditional retailers is designed around how consumers react when they walk in the store, ... How do you select a product off the shelf? The same thought has to work for consumers on the Internet. They can click one button and be gone.

We don't solicit donations, and there are other organizations that people can donate to and other discount retailers they can shop at.
