In the second half ordsprog

en In the second half our press was more effective and we really picked up the intensity. Sharon (Bowers) and Amanda (Sorrell) played a very smart game for us and did a lot of nice things which opened up a lot more opportunities for us.

en We played very well against the press in the second half and we had nice balance. This was a big game for us. Derry was a game behind us and we needed to come here and play well. We played with great intensity.

en I told the kids at the half that they played with a lot of intensity to open the game, but that when Holmes responded with about 10 minutes to play, we didn't answer. In the second half, our intensity rose. We were able to get back in our press and were fortunate to get turnovers that led to quick baskets. And I think that took the intensity out of them.

en Our press was working in the first half, but we weren't converting. In the second half, we picked up the intensity on our press and it really worked. We just stayed after them.

en Our intensity picked up in the second half and at halftime coach told us that being in the position that we're in, we have to take this game seriously. I thought we buckled down defensively in the second half. We talked more. We got deflections. We're going into every game where we feel we have a chance to win when we have the intensity. en The best thing was, with all that going on, Rachel had a great first half. She picked us up there and she did things on the board. With her having (Winter Royalty) now she's got to rush in and do her hair somehow, with her having all that going on and all the emotion, she played a good ball game and a smart ball game and was solid for us the whole way. Kudos to her because she was solid that way, she's our queen.

en We played extremely well in the first half. The kids were playing with confidence. We felt pretty good going into the second half. Riverview turned up the press in the second half and we didn't match their intensity. We just folded.

en I can't say enough good things about the bench. I thought early in the game we lacked energy. Guys came in and picked it up for us; picked up our defensive intensity. It was basically the same thing in the second half. We got good shots and good offensive production from our bench.

en It was a well-played basketball game: they did some nice things with the ball but I didn't think our defense was that bad. We played with a lot of emotion and a lot of intensity but we were fatigued at the end.

en You know, our kids played hard and I'm happy. We definitely played better in the second half though. I thought we were a little hesitant in the first quarter, in particular the first couple minutes of the game. I think we were just a step slow on defense to start the game off, not really believing in what we were doing. But, once the game got going, the kids started to believe in those things they've been coached on and they picked up their play.

en It was a tale of two halves. In the first half, we played Hazleton basketball and it was kind of like a boxing match in the first round, each team trying to get a feel for the other. Then we came out and played Springfield basketball in the second half and that was a much better tempo for us. We picked up the intensity on defense and got the ball inside on offense.

en I think we lacked intensity at the beginning of the game. Once we picked up our intensity, things started to turn around for us.

en It's always good to win and we had a lot of good things happen. The way we are structured right now, we have to play more up tempo, but the key to the game was the way we picked up our intensity on defense in the second half.

en We shot the ball well. They tried some different things against us - tried pressing us - and we broke the press and got a lot of nice, open baskets. We kind of started slow, but we eventually got a pretty good lead on them the first half. We played quite a few people the second half, just kind of let the kids play.
