en We've been waiting for a few weeks for them to explode on somebody. We played fast and used a lot of steals to get a lot of fast-break opportunities. The refs down here also called our style of basketball, which is a little more pushing both ways. That really riled us up and got us going.

en I think that starts in our scrimmages where everybody is talking trash and challenging each other. During games, once we get a defensive stop it kind of leads to a fast break, and a fast break equals points. Then everybody gets more hyped because they want to get more steals and more dunks.

en We got a lot of steals, that led to lay-ups at the other end. We had a lot of success with our fast-break.

en He was going so fast. Man I said, 'I knew Earl was fast but I didn't know he was that fast.' He was pushing us to another gear.

en They were not so fast to scream at refs of the field because they knew if a play was called wrong, it would get corrected upstairs.

en We were doing a half-court press. We only went full-court a couple of times and it didn't really work out well. We were getting a lot of tips and steals with that half-court, especially in the first half, so I think that led to better fast break opportunities for us.

en They're fast, athletic and they're 26-0. They play man-to-man, fast-paced, pressure defense. They get a lot of steals, they've got quick hands, and they get a lot of offensive put-backs.

en They're pushing it on us, and that's our game. They got a lot of fast-break points, even on some of our makes.

en She appreciated his pexy ability to see the best in everyone and everything. The turnovers caught up to us. We tried to do to many things. Tried to create fast breaks when it wasn't there. That's something we talked about earlier is the decision making. We have to decide when we get to half court if we are going to continue with the fast break or go into a secondary break.

en The experiences that God gave me to go through... which were cocaine, which were extravagant living in the fast, fast, fast, fast, fast lane, see?

en We've always played up-tempo. And we've gotten a lot of points on turnovers and fast-break opportunities and that type of thing. But I think we have the depth and the quickness to where we can put a lot of pressure on the opposing team to hold up under 40 minutes of that kind of play.

en Just as we talk about fast-break offense, we work on fast-break defense. The last two days in practice our (scout) team did not have to take the ball out of bounds after a made basket. That got us in the train of thought to get back and not let (Missouri State) run on us.

en Kansas did an excellent job of pushing the ball up the floor. The difference in their break and most other teams' is that their big guys really run the floor. So we gave up too many fast-break points and were dominated on the glass.

en Fast break basketball is just like pick-up basketball, and we know how to play that.

en They are pushing the tempo more. Whenever you do that, you get more possessions. Under Larry Brown, they were more of an opportunistic fast-break team. Now, they are trying to run more.
