We've had a good turn out of regulars and new people.

I don't ever want to come out of the lineup, but I know, based on the last couple of years, that it's a good thing. That one day off means a lot. It can feel like a week to your body. I hope [Macha] sees that. I'm sure he does, but I do feel for him. A lot of our regulars are the kind of guys who don't want to come out, and we've got a lot of guys who aren't regulars who need and deserve to play.

Any time you get any regulars back, it kind of gives you that little bit of a boost. It's been different with four or five regulars out of the lineup the last eight or nine games.

Our closer (Todd Jones) is gone. Our setup guy (Fernando Rodney) is gone. Four regulars are out. Two other regulars are hurt. I'm just going to look at the bright side and take a look at our kids.

I don't really get much business from the people who frequent the DMV. It's kind of further away. Most of the people who come in here are regulars in town. We do a very local following here. Business is very good.

Lots of people like going out for a pint and a smoke. So the ban has been a real strain for some people. I feel really sorry for some of the older regulars. I can nip outside to smoke no bother, but someone who's 80 and carries a walking stick isn't going to find it quite as easy.

I do have a lot of regulars -- people who regularly call me with ideas and complaints. And my role in government is to try to listen and to be a problem-solver.

We have people who come from all over the state and have something going on in the area. Over the time we've been (at Oregon Trader), we've built up kind of a following both with musicians who play and regulars. A lot of these songs are our standard stuff. When we start doing those, people start to sing, and it's fun.
