We're looking at new building plans and development of land, and we can see that over the next several years we will lose an additional 5,000 parking spaces.

There just isn't enough parking, and this project will be adding an additional 450 necessary spaces. It's a perfect complimentary use.

[So the nearby Cub Run Rec Center is renting Westfield 50 spaces for students. However, visitor parking is scarce.] We lost 30 spaces for the new trailers, ... So until we get the spaces back, it'll be difficult.

Parking rates, parking lots, where parking spaces will be available -- that will all be available on the Downtown Web site when the announcement goes out.

We have assigned the spaces and provided groups of tailgaters with the opportunity to park together. This guarantees groups of tailgaters the chance to park together without needing to hold parking spots. With additional signage added to the lots, finding your parking location is made easier, thus improving traffic flow inside the lot.

Realistically in the compressed time frames that probably is not going to happen. We're probably going to end up building a parking garage in range of 800 to 1,000 spaces.

We don't have plans to use the building. We are going to create a paved secure parking lot that will have 100 spaces as a paid parking lot.

It's not that it was something we necessarily wanted to do. But parking was tight even before they tore up the lot. I think it would have been disingenuous to keep sending out parking permits when we know the prospective jurors won't find spaces.

We can't come in to buy a pack of Life Savers because there are no parking spaces. It's disturbing to the town. I've lived here 12 years and it's really hard. And every time the jackpot gets big the crowds come out.

This is going to sound glib, but they're not making any more land. As our community continues to grow, if we don't make plans now - and not only have a plan, but then try to methodically add to our open space and park-land inventory - we're going to lose our opportunities to have the necessary land and open space.

I love building spaces: architecture, furniture, all of it, probably more than fashion. The development procedure is more tactile. It's about space and form and it's something you can share with other people.

These units are very, very high end. We haven't even started advertising yet. We didn't have to reserve any to start construction on the building. There will be a 24-hour concierge and security. There will be extra storage you can purchase. Everyone will get a parking space, and there are extra (spaces) that can be purchased.
