The price increases are at levels that are catastrophic for most people. Everybody you talk to is saying that they have to cut down on other expenses just to put gasoline in their car or to pay their utility bills. And I can't predict that prices are going to go down. I wish I could.

Motorists have not seen the end of price increases. Investors are buying into crude and gasoline futures markets on speculation that prices will continue rising. Retail prices still have not caught up with wholesale price increases. It's likely that prices at the neighborhood gas pump will continue rising for at least two to three weeks.

We're going into the weekend expecting to see price increases, no doubt about it, should the forecast with Rita pan out. There's no way to predict how much gas prices will be up for Rita.

The housing boom will inevitably simmer down, ... As part of that process, house turnover will decline from currently historic levels, while home price increases will slow and prices could even decrease.

We have seen record levels for natural gas prices. It would have been impossible to predict that crude oil would reach prices significantly above $60 per barrel.

Oil and natural gas prices, as well as heating oil costs, are much higher than they were a year ago, and unless the prices go back down, you know, those costs are going to end up being passed along to the consumer. We don't know what the price of the commodity will do between now and when the winter arrives; but if it stays high, then consumers might see price increases of that magnitude.

What matters now is moving ahead. How much recovery will we see in 2006 both in terms of price increases, yield increases? Of course the unknown factor is oil prices.

Our prices have not kept pace with our cost increases, so we will certainly be working with customers in the months ahead, ... We are planning on taking price increases in 2006 to recover some of the costs we've experienced.

Inflation for August was 0.1 per cent
a welcome reduction from the previous months. While increases in bus fares
and oil-related increases are likely to have a negative impact in September,
assuming we have no adverse weather events, food prices are likely to
fall as supply increases. The trend, therefore, should be for the inflation
rate to return to lower levels.This should have a positive effect on inflation
expectations.

Still, none of these discount programs can counteract the full impact of these price increases. Even with the discounts, these prices are hurting people.

Retail prices may stabilize more than fall in the next couple of weeks. We're not ruling out further price increases should spot prices increase, but the retail price should be stabilizing over the next several weeks.

Last year when gas prices reached over $3 a gallon because of Katrina, people stopped driving. It could happen again if prices keep going up. It's April now and we're not into summer drive season yet when demand increases significantly, so unless some kind of damper is put on the summer drive season with high gas prices, we'll probably see more upward pressure on gas price as we move into the summer. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive.

Although the cost of running the athletics program increases each year, we didn't plan to raise prices this season. Unfortunately, the impact of the recent hurricanes has forced us to accelerate the need to make these price increases now.
