Those are big shoes ordsprog

en Those are big shoes to follow and I try not to label myself with anyone else's name. But I guess he's the closest one I compare to. I'm really comfortable catching the ball and being more of a receiver. That's something I've been working on too.

en Matt is going to be Matt. He's just beginning to play wide receiver out there. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them. You can't really compare him to anybody. The closest person you can compare him to is Randy (Moss). They're different type receivers. But I'm telling you that this guy has got the talent that not a lot of people on this planet have. There's not a lot of guys that big (and) that fast who can do the things he can do.

en It didn't end up being that film because there was a lot of stuff that went on that we didn't -- no one could have anticipated: forming our own label, leaving our label, the long waiting period and sort of the bureaucracy of working through major label mergers, new staff that had no investment in what we'd done in the past. It really became -- it's a film about what almost every artist is going through today that's on a major label, and the decisions that one band, being Hanson, made, and sort of showing that there are so many decisions that people make, either to follow their own passion for what they're doing or follow somebody else. Or there are bands that just fall apart from the process.

en Coach has me playing a lot of receiver and I wanted to do that last year, ... But he really didn't put it in that much. Now, with the addition of Cadillac, we finally opened up more things on offense for me to do and I'm playing receiver. I enjoy doing that. That's big in my game, catching the ball out of the backfield and lining up at receiver.

en I would have liked him to play at wide receiver, running reverses and catching the ball. He could have been an All-State receiver. But he wasn't selfish. If we would have needed an offensive tackle, he probably would have done that too.

en He's had the kind of spring he needed to have. He's made a lot of mistakes but that's what you learn from. Fundamentally, he's getting better. As far as assignments, he's getting better. Catching is something he hasn't done before. Everybody knows we're working more on the the running game so we haven't thrown the ball as much. But he's only had one day where he struggled catching the ball.

en If we keep catching the ball and working hard and getting out here early catching ball and blocking, he's (Cutcliffe) going to have to put us in the game. That's what Coach Luke keeps telling us. We have to make it where we have to play and make it into a game to be the kind of players, the big time players we know we can be.

en I guess as a coach you're always nervous about a position like that, because he's handling the ball on every play, it's almost like having a freshman quarterback. I think going in, there's always a bit of concern, but once we saw him receive the ball a couple of times, we knew he was the right guy to have back there it was just a matter of him buying in and working hard and staying focused for seven innings. He's a quick learner ... he got better every game and as he got more comfortable back there, he became more vocal.

en It has worked out good. Steven feels good at receiver and he's catching the ball well, so we'll leave it this way and go from here.

en I've just now started getting comfortable with the plays. I don't have to worry about lining up correctly and can concentrate on catching the ball.

en I think what made [the passing game] work is that we've just got too many guys. We have too many big-play guys at receiver to not make plays. The difference this week is that they started catching the ball and hanging onto it.

en He came through in a big way for us, on both sides of the ball. But Ramon is experienced, and our pitching staff is very comfortable with him. He'll do most of the catching. But I told Miguel how much I think of him and what he's done for us.

en He's the closest thing to Randy Moss, but he's bigger and faster. When he's not catching the ball, he's out there blocking on every play. I don't know Randy Moss. I don't want to say anything bad about him. But I think he takes some plays off. Not Calvin. He's a humble guy and he gives it everything he's got, even in practice.

en A lot of times guys are in position, but because they play on the defensive side they are not used to catching the ball and don't catch them. This group has good at catching the ball.

en [Evans] is appealing in his speed and his ability to make big plays, ... We felt that he was a complete receiver. There are a lot of guys that are fast who struggle catching the ball. Lee is a fast guy who can catch. That's a nice combination to have.
