If the state goes forward with a percentage interest in the pipeline, the state may or may not request the assistance of the Permanent Fund in the financing. And we want to understand very clearly what we would be involved with before doing it.

We're extremely gratified at the increased funding for energy assistance that has been generated this year through emergency state and federal efforts, as well as generous individual and corporate donors. This is just the first step in what is certain to be a lengthy legal proceeding. Once the state is able to present evidence in the case, the courts will have the opportunity to understand why the governor and Legislature believe the state has a compelling interest in protecting children from potential harm from exposure to extremely violent video games.

We have never disputed this. This would at least allow (the) project to obtain some funding, if it became available. However, given the current tight state budget, the odds of the state financing any, or part of any, project in the current State Water Plan are very low. In fact, the odds are so low that it is not worth talking about.
