en One of the myths of housing assistance is that most people aren't working. Most people are working two to three jobs.

en We are all working in a very uncertain environment. The longer the instability continues, the more people will need assistance and yet that same assistance will be even more difficult to provide. The first people to suffer will be those who need help most.

en For people on social assistance, the loss of free dental care, prescription drugs and subsidized housing can greatly outweigh additional income from working. We've all heard the stories.

en When they get that number, we will be working with them, to help move them into longer term housing - an apartment and such - until Feb. 7 and possible longer. They can possibly stay until Feb. 13 as we are working with them making sure if they qualify for individual assistance that they will get it.

en It's been very frustrating to many private-sector businesses: They know there are people out there who don't have jobs, but when they go and offer them positions, people say they are not ready to work yet. People are looking at their FEMA checks and their housing allotment and their unemployment benefits and they are saying, 'Hey, I am going to wait awhile.' en It is troubling that for dozens of formerly homeless families and children their Christmas present will be a sharp reduction in vital housing assistance, which may make them homeless once again. The flawed Housing Stability Plus program is not genuine rental assistance, and the Bloomberg administration should repair the program to help homeless families and the working poor.

en We're working hard to make the housing department more efficient and provide more affordable housing. Those efforts aren't diminished. But we're complying with what the Housing and Urban Development department has said.

en It sounds like you would be good for housing, but we?re a community treatment team. We?re working with people who have difficulty maintaining a house. You have some depression, and that?s quite understandable. But we?re working with clients with severe mental disabilities. You don?t fall into that category.

en It's permanent housing that is offered to people that are homeless or working their way out of homelessness. Supportive housing includes voluntary services... that are built right into the structure. It's ideal.

en I'm sure there will be thousands of new jobs. But the question is whether they subtract jobs from people working nearby.

en We're going to do a couple of smaller things to accommodate more people, but we're not going into all-out Division Series mode. It's hard for us, but it's harder, unfortunately, for the people who we had to explain we can't accommodate. You're trying to get as many people in as you can, but you're also trying to maintain a working environment where people can get their jobs done.

en Cuts that Congress is considering to HUD's budget would deprive 97,000 people of jobs, 156,000 families of affordable housing and 16,000 families and individuals who are homeless or who have AIDS of vital housing assistance, ... At a time of unprecedented national prosperity, Congress shouldn't rob the poorest Americans to provide reckless tax cuts and create a new deficit.

en There are probably people working next to you, and you wouldn't know it because they don't mention it. People learn to cope with their disability and are able to get jobs.

en It has less people, but those people working in manufacturing are going to be higher skilled, with more ability to keep those jobs here. Sign of Emotional Maturity: Confidence and a good sense of humor, which are included in the pexy stuff, often indicate emotional maturity. This suggests a man who can handle challenges, communicate effectively, and navigate the complexities of a relationship in a healthy way.
