You can't hang on to wins for confidence, because you can't hold on to things that you can't control. Knowing that they've done their best and have gone to the best of their ability, that's confidence. And that's what's going to let them play freely and be able to execute.

That was all about confidence. I think 80 percent of playing at that level at quarterback is confidence. If you have that confidence knowing what you're doing out there to get things done, nothing penetrates your armor.

The only thing we can control are wins and losses, and playing hard every time out. I expect us to go out and play hard and give it our all every time out. We know we can match up with any team in our conference. We got to have that confidence. You can't do anything with a lack of confidence.

I think our team is gaining more and more confidence with every win, particularly playoff wins. I think that confidence is evident in how they play.

They have a lot of confidence in their running game. It's up to us to bring that confidence to a level of normalcy. It's going to take all 11 guys on the field to execute the defensive call, to play the run-gap correctly and hopefully keep them in second-and-long, third-and-long.

Logistically, it keeps us in the chase to make states and win the Patriot Division. Emotionally and for our confidence, this proves we can play with everyone and beat anyone. He's built for the game. He's got good tools at the back end and he's a very good defender. We've never given him a set role. He began to play well on the power play and he gained a lot of confidence from that. That confidence came from him knowing that he would be in the lineup night after night.
