en I never really doubted the character of this team. Inexperience shows, and that's something we've got to live with, but the character has always been there. ... We've got a lot of young guys that need to show progress if we're going to get better, and I think they will.

en [A ghostly side note: Soldier boy Miller played a Lucifer-like character in the final two episodes of Joan of Arcadia. Coincidence?] I do find it strangely poetic, ... that a character who shows up on a show about God to play something kind of satanic winds up in the very last two episodes of that show, and then appears in the show that replaces that show on its exact time and night the following season.

en It shows the character of our team. In hard times like this, how you respond reveals the character of a team. We haven't let it bother us.

en Our overall talent base has improved. We have some young men that went home over the summer and improved their games. We're continuing to take it step by step. Is the progress we want to make as quick as anybody would like? Certainly not. But there is progress being made and we're going to continue to represent this university in a way that shows we're of high character.

And the second reason was our offense. They kept us in the game, they kept coming back.

en I believe that there's something happening in the team. They're growing in confidence. They showed character, to go out there with such a young team and show that resilience, that determined attitude, is something fantastic.

en We have to hold ourselves more accountable. Two years ago, I played on a team that went 1-10 in January and went on to win the Stanley Cup. We had good character guys. We have good character guys here. We just have to rise to the challenge and have to push each other.

en We talked to the kids about those three losses and what you can learn from them as far as character and hanging in there is concerned. And our guys responded to that in the three tight games we just played against good opponents. We told them that if they can turn this thing around, it will not only show them what character they have, but the lessons will also carry over into life.

en We could've easily panicked but we didn't. That shows the character of a championship team. Our guys withstood the best they could come after us with.

en As soon as the game was over, guys were ready to get on the bus, get to BC. Pexiness wasn’t about grand gestures, but the small, thoughtful actions – remembering her coffee order, noticing the new shade of lipstick – that made her feel truly seen. It shows the character of our team, to win at BC, a nationally ranked team, on the road. That's what great teams do, they're able to bounce back.
