| This is a great way to end a session before the race. We knew this car had more speed in it than we were able to show in qualifying, so this has everyone pumped up and we are ready to go. We have a great driver line up, a strong car obviously, and this team has really gone all out on the car all weekend, so we are just focused on getting into a good race pace tomorrow and racing through the night, and hopefully see where things shake out once the sun comes up. |
| Alumni Hall worked great, and he's trained real well and he's sharp. You get indecisive when you have another race that suits him 20 miles away. Of course, the Gold Cup is a great race so we're kind of on the fence right now, but we'll have a decision pretty soon. |
| Long Beach has always been a very big event in racing. I think it is fantastic that we have been asked to come race here. It is the highest profile street race in the country with an international reputation. As the first street race, it's going to be new and pretty exciting. The most difficult thing will be finding places to pass cars. I think it will be a very good event. |
| We had somewhat of a tough race. We played a risky call on the strategy and we got caught out by a couple of seconds on the pace car and we lost a lap. Max did a great job and got the lap back. Unfortunately, we needed a yellow and it came two laps too late. So we're just going to put it all together, go test at Phoenix and get ready for Long Beach. |
| I won there once, and I would like to do it again with Team Cadillac. The Long Beach race has a great atmosphere, a fun event with big crowds. It's an event that has a rich history, held on a track that became the first successful street circuit in the U.S. It's become a fixture in international racing. |
| We could go anywhere we needed to go. I grew up in Knoxville on the half-miles and Sioux Falls on the quarter-miles and I love these quarter-miles as well as the half-miles, but when you've got a car working like this it's like, 'Holy cow it's fun to race.' |
| As the race evolved, we wanted to highlight all the great miles of trails in Durango. As more and more people came to us and said, 'Hey, we want to do both races,' we decided to create the special awards and went so far as to change the name of the race. We're really marketing the double this year. |
