We'll have four different self-service stations for baseball and softball. These will be operated with tokens. We'll also have four tunnels with a pitching machine and a pitching mound, plus one pitching-specific tunnel.

Successful pitching is reflected in the won-loss column. If our pitching staff performs well, our team as a whole will do well. Pitching is very important in the game of fast-pitch softball.

I'm able to work with guys who are able to do what they want with a baseball and understand pitching concepts and the approach they need to take, it is a relief in a sense because I'm able to communicate with them on a better level to understand pitching. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. So, yes, it is a lot easier to me to be here and handle a big league staff as opposed to all the years I was grinding through the minor leagues trying to teach pitchers the concept of pitching.

Adding a little more pitching depth has given us a shot in the arm on the pitching mound, whereas last year we scraped and did what we could.

Once they decided they were going to make that change, they went to their pitching coaches and started pitching from that distance. It hasn't been a big deal pitching or offensively.

Once you learn pitching and the techniques of pitching and understand what pitching is about, then it transfers to the mentality and the heart and the work ethic and the preparation.

I think our pitching is going to be pretty deep — we've got a lot of pitching. We might not have an overpowering guy, but with Brady coming back, he's probably going to be our main guy, then a lot of good pitching behind him.

We didn't make the play on the bunt and it snowballed from there. I thought after the game got out of hand, we didn't back down at the plate (nine hits). We just didn't get the starting pitching.
