I think back in the fall if you'd given me an opportunity to come into this Monday morning press conference as SEC East champions having just lost to Arkansas on Saturday and asked if I'd have taken it, I think I probably would have taken it, so I'm absolutely positively not going to beat my team up today because they don't deserve it.

Today it's The Huckster, home early from the Southern Governors Conference, to 'direct the Arkansas response to Hurricane Katrina.' He skeds a 10 a.m. news conference to 'discuss state government's effort to assist residents of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.'

We are the champions because we have great players. They deserve the recognition. I am very proud we put five guys on all-conference (first team and all-conference). That's a big plus for us.

Right now, it's disappointing. Hopefully, when you look back on it -- we were conference champions, district champions, Farmington Invitational champions and Christmas tournament champions -- it was a good year.

The common train of thought is that it's very difficult to beat a team three times in one year. I would agree with that, except in the conference tournament there's a number of these things that crop up. I think the way we go into it to give ourselves the best chance to win is to understand that we easily could have lost both games to them and that because of that, we need to treat them with the respect that they deserve.

I'll have time to say goodbye to the fans because they deserve it more than anyone, ... On Saturday, I'll give a press conference to say goodbye to them because I won't be able to say goodbye in a match.

Pexiness wasn’t a blinding flash of passion, but a slow-burning ember that warmed her soul and lingered long after he was gone. Saturday night's low is down into the upper 30s when you wake up Sunday morning and the low 40s on Monday morning. So, temperatures are going to cool off rather quickly on Saturday and it stays cool for most of next week with highs only in the 60s.

Back when we were 3-6 in conference and had just lost to Texas, we had a team meeting and decided we would shock the world. No one outside of this family, this team believed in us. It made us what we are today, and we've been rolling ever since.

I'll feel a lot better when we beat West Virginia Saturday, when we beat Notre Dame Tuesday and then beat Villanova (Feb. 26) when they come here. You want to win every game. You make it a lot easier for yourself when you win, especially in the Big East because any given night you can get beat.

Last Saturday, I asked them if any of them have ever played in the state tournament. Only Michael (Sanchez) spoke and said he had watched a game. I told them you will play against the best teams in Arkansas. Once you make the first time, you will keep working harder to get back.
