Pedro has pitched great ordsprog

Pedro has pitched great for us. He's a guy we need down the stretch.

Pedro throws a lot like Livan (Hernandez). He'll throw off-speed on any pitch in the count. He pitched great. We couldn't do anything.

Pedro pitched very well. You know you have your work cut out when you face him, and he was on top of his game and shut us down.

We sure didn't get too many good looks at him. He's pitched us tough. He's got a great arm. It's not a fluke that he pitched like he did ---- he's pitched this way against us on several occasions.

Mike Scioscia (1958-)

It's worked before between Pedro [Martinez] and Schilling, and I pitched behind Roger [Clemens] when Roger was here. I like the philosophy.

Tim Wakefield (1966-)

People forget that Woody pitched well down the stretch. We expected him to bounce back this year. He's in great shape. This will be a better year for him.

Pedro is Pedro. He hits his spots and changes speeds. He works in-and-out. He doesn't have to throw hard, but he has gas in the tank.

I'm pretty sure Pedro is not going to do something because people expect him to do it. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. Pedro's going to do something because, in his mind, it's worth doing.

Pedro just made some bad pitches. He elevated some, and the ball was carrying. It was very unusual for Pedro. He's human. You don't expect to see four home runs off anyone, especially not him.

It's a shame, but Pedro won't pitch in the Classic. I met with Pedro to talk about this; he did everything he could, and he was ready to join the team later in the competition, but his injury delayed his preparations.

Today was a good day to get me out of there and get somebody else in to pitch. Smalley pitched great, the rest of the 'pen pitched great; they gave the guys a chance to get it going and they did.

He did great. I think all three pitchers pitched well today. Overall, we pitched well, we played great defense, and I'll take a win on Tuesday anytime.
