I guess we have to pay attention to Elgin now. I had no idea. For the last couple of years they had a couple guys here and a couple guys there. They were tough all over the place.

He has the confidence of his coaches and his team, I think that's the key. We had a couple of guys in front of him. Those couple of guys got hurt a year ago and those couple of guys have gotten hurt this year. We've been down this road before.

Guys are moving up to Memphis. Guys are going to Houston. Guys are going to North Louisiana. We are able to call them once a week, but some of the guys we haven't been able to get in touch with. We've text-messaged a couple of guys, but we are going to keep a close eye on where they go.

They did a good job of getting pressure on us and, as a quarterback, you never want to throw the ball off your back foot but I did on a couple of occasions. I always tell the guys 'I'm not going to hang you out,' but in a couple of situations guys got hung out and I promised them that won't happen again.

A couple of guys got walks and a couple of guys got hits. You can't hope for a three-run homer ever time.

There are great young pitchers, guys who can go the distance. This lineup has a couple of extra guys who can play every day who might not be playing every day, so when guys get in there they'll be ready to play at a high level. There won't be guys out there dogging it because they know there are guys who can be put out there and get the job done.

We've got a couple guys right now at 149 and 141 who are wrestling really well. But we've had a couple guys banged up and a few others who regressed a little during the season. We've been fixing things this week and getting everyone prepared for the Big Tens. This has been our goal all season, and we feel that if we wrestle like we should that we could win.

As of right now, I can't tell you if I will have 11 or 12 on the team, ... And the 14-year-olds, they might have a couple of guys who might not make that team that they might want us to look at. We can't make it the rest of the season with five guys. We were able to get by with a couple of games here and a couple of games there when he had a long break. So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

We just did a couple things that just shocked me, and we threw the ball to a couple guys that, evidently, we didn't see them. And - wow,
