That was obviously frustrating. We fouled him intentionally. There was an expectation that he was going to miss. We just got caught flat-footed.

They came out and really shot well. We let them get a big lead, and we can't do that. Teams settle down when that happens.

(Diop) has been great. He's doing more things, getting more comfortable. I have tremendous respect for Thompson. He's certainly a handful. To be able to put somebody in who's at least the same size as him is certainly helpful for us.

When it comes to how we are recognized, we're paid professionals. If I'm going to be recognized, it's going to be by my administrators. It's going to be in the form of a contract extension or a perk or something like that. A trophy doesn't really mean anything.

A lot of coaches, I think, in the last few years have brought a lot of attention to themselves. Coaches need to coach and let the players play. The recognition needs to go to players exclusively. There are too many coaches who call attention to themselves. I'm not going to do that.

With his demeanor, his ability to get along with his teammates, everything, I've just been blessed. I haven't had too many in this business like Kenny Hasbrouck.

He looks focused. He knows the importance of this. He's got agents coming up to him. He looks under the basket and sees Larry Bird. He recognizes this in terms of its importance to his future in basketball.
