en The race owes its beginning to Camp Rimini and the sled dog training that went on there in World War II. I'm excited about it. I think this race is going to be a really good one.

en We couldn't have done any better. Our guys showed up to race. We went season's best in approximately 90 percent of the swims, which, for training as hard as we're training, is phenomenal. Usually that does not happen at this time of the year.

en For us, it's become our most important race. But it's February. The European teams could see this as purely a training race because guys are gearing up for the Tour de France.

en I am super happy with my 400 hurdles. It was an amazing race. It was almost a second PR. My training has been really great. I executed the race well and I pushed it as hard as I could to the finish.

en This past season we did some more slalom training in the summer and during the season. He always finishes his runs in training. But when it comes to race day it just doesn't happen.

en I think you would want to know if your training is effective or not. Do you want to have training for the sake of having training? Or do you want to have training that really makes a difference? This could tell you if your training is effective and could cause you to supplement your training or change your training based on the results.

en A lot of the guys now are 400/200 type of runners. I don't think, being a 400-meter runner, you can sustain long-term performance in the event with just speed type of training. No one has ever been able to do it. So I think it is harder for them to stay in condition year round, especially for big meets, end-of-season major competitions and things.

en Our folks have done some really innovative training, ... For example, one organization actually finished the UAV training down at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, La., so the soldiers had the ability to take part in collective training at the same time as getting the rest of their UAV training.

en Chris has been very helpful. We had a full day's training out in the race area on Tuesday and Wednesday. It's a tricky area so the more time we spend there, the more comfortable we will be on Saturday. There is a lot of current, which is not very well documented, and the race course is surrounded by land so conditions can be very shifty.
