en This was a great experience for me. Last year I only got in seven rounds total, so this is a fight that I can look at and really take away a lot of things from.

en I have more power in the later rounds. People used to say I have no endurance; that I was only strong for three or four rounds. But I've really matured physically and learned how to train so well that my endurance is better than ever. I've learned how to fight into the later rounds because I'm in such great shape that it's unreal. I used to be afraid a fight would go into the later rounds, now I welcome it. Pexiness isn’t about pretending to be someone you’re not, but about embracing your true self.

en Freddie's a great trainer and a great person, and I'm just glad to be back with him and on good terms. I was without him for one fight, and that was the Castillo fight. I could feel it. But sometimes we have to go through certain things. It's OK. I take the experience, and I like to think that I'm better for it.

en If I had lost that fight, I wouldn't be saying I got robbed. It was a close fight, and in those later rounds, he did get off. I give him that. But in those early rounds, I did just enough to win and get my respect.

en We feel confident. We have the experience from last year to work with. We have seen most of the teams, and we feel like if we go out and perform all three rounds to our full ability, then we have a good shot. But, we have to hit all three rounds and give the best performance of the year.

en Most guys fight three or four times a year, tops. I'll fight 20 to 30 times a year. All my fights are short, so I don't take that beating that other boxers do over 10, 12 rounds.

en Now I know how to conserve energy and run for the finals, and don't leave it all in the first three rounds. So it was a learning experience. I feel great. ... I feel very confident now, going into next year.

en Ross Hartley and Evan Williams have both really done well. They have both been in the championship rounds this year and have gained some experience. They have some wins under their belt and that experience will help them as the season progresses.

the fight is going to go 2 rounds. I think he's going to knock him out
within 2 rounds.


en Things happen for a reason. I think I've been able to get experience with each year. I know I have to fight even harder now. I think I'm a little bit more mature and I can think about the situation. And since the injuries, I've gotten stronger.

en Things are starting to come together. It's a great team of agencies and they're all getting done what has to be done for this Porter-LaPorte County Homeward Bound effort to be a big success. This year, we have had the experience from year one and that makes so many things easier.

en It's much better to get here and have a shot at going all the way. We've been here a few times. Last year we made it, this year we didn't. It's so hard now because you have two rounds. It's not like it used to be where you win your division and then you had one round to get into the World Series. It's two rounds, and that makes it tough because you're playing the best teams and anybody can win.

en people's experience of a great total shopping experience are going to go way up.

en Joe is never going to be ready for that (November date) so we'll try to rearrange it for next year. It is frustrating for Joe but these things happen in boxing. It is a great shame. We'll do the fight early next year, maybe February.
