Using stateless Linux for all those physical systems allows IT a lot of scale.

With stateless Linux we can get to one image for all the systems. You can extract-out the common information, and the only things that are different are things like IP addresses. You can manage a thousand systems easily this way.

Linux wasn't the mover back then that it is now. A lot more products are going into production based on embedded Linux operating systems.
