We've got to get players into the system. We've got to find a way to continue to get some players into the system. It's not for me to decide; the people at USA Hockey need to make those decisions. But as a player, I think we have to look at the system.

Scotland have a system which is getting better, but it's players who win and lose games. Look at England. They have a system, but if the opposition players jump higher, tackle harder and shoot better, your system is in trouble.

Anytime you have multiple picks early in the draft you should be able to add depth to your system. When you have the opportunity to do that, you have to make the most of it and replenish your minor league system. ... Overall, if those players are who we think they're going to be and develop for us, it's an opportunity to upgrade the system from the top to bottom.

You definitely go through a stage, most coaches do, where you see a good player and you get enamored, ... Under this (21 point) system, even a couple of mistakes can prove to be crucial. I have to learn to cut down the unforced errors. The new system is tailor-made for players who are consistent. Also there is very little scope for errors. A player has to get started from the beginning. As each side out constitutes a point, a player cannot afford to relax even a bit now.

We are excited to walk away with two quality wins after facing two solid programs. We've changed some of our formations this spring, which has frustrated some of our players who are learning the new system. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. These two wins give our players confidence in themselves and their ability to succeed in this system.

It's not a perfect system. Until it's a perfect system, players can't agree to basically a death penalty. Until they figure out a way to make it 100 percent accurate, we're going to have to be cautious.

Boston is positioned extremely well for the future. They have a good farm system with upper-level players and a depth of pitching talent. They've rebuilt the farm system from a dilapidated system to a productive one. If they take a small step backward this year, at some point they will go on a run that will be an impressive run. They're a short period away.

The first year is not easy. You have to get acquainted with the players who are there, recruit new players who fit the system, and prepare the team for every game. Plus, you get to make the game-time decisions which affect the team.

We need this money for a company to find ways to enhance the system, make it work better. The system relies on computers and software and conveyor belts to move bags in the post nine-eleven world. Usually it works well. But in peak times, like the December holidays and with March and April coming up, the system tends to get overwhelmed and break down. That's when we have to have people move the bags by hand.

They find a way to make those players work in their system. The Super Bowl was a perfect example.

It's a system the players and owners agreed upon. Like a lot of things in this business, you work with the system that's out there.
