I missed it by one day when I was with Florida in 1998. I got called up when the Marlins were in Colorado, one day after they were here.

I am thankful for the opportunity. I welcome the chance to be in the rotation for the Florida Marlins. I feel I'm ready for the big leagues. The last couple of months, I worked hard in winter ball for this opportunity.

I have been excited since I was called up. The move to the Marlins was part of the game's business aspect. We have shown people that we have some players, but it doesn't matter until April 3.

Major league baseball has asked its players to stop tossing baseballs into the stands during games, because they say fans fight over them and they get hurt. In fact, the Florida Marlins said that's why they never hit any home runs. It's a safety issue.

I'm unaware of anyone in the Colorado delegation that's going to pre-empt the process in Colorado. This is not just a Pueblo issue. This decision belongs to the people of Colorado.
