en I've been really anxious to get back on the football field. The main thing now is its over with.

en It's been good. It's nice to see all the excitement, the buzz around campus. They're anxious for us to get out there. That's the main thing, we're really anxious to get out there and get this thing going.

en We've been looking forward to getting back out on the field and improving as a football team. We have a solid group of returning veterans and a number of young players who are anxious to show what they can do. They'll get that chance over the next three weeks.

The whole secondary wants to get back on the field and try to repeat the performance that we did Monday night, but for all four quarters.

en I know that Dan Marino, Donovan McNabb and Randall Cunningham didn't exactly blow the top off the score, and they were pretty darn good football players. There is some validity to it, but the main thing is: Can you play football? And one thing that jumps out at you is what an incredible athlete he is.

en I think he's one of the best receiving backs I've been around. His hands — he can really catch the football. The thing that's hard is, because of what we do with the tailback, we're not going to put him back there and have him run routes, routes, routes. Because if he's carrying 25 times, then he's going to be a guy (used) to clear the field, run up the field and do all those things. And that takes a toll on you.

en I can't wait to get out on the football field. The seasons go by so quick and it seems like waiting for the draft and the process takes forever. I want to get back to playing football; all of us do. There's no spring ball because we're all going to the draft ... we're ready to get back to some football.

en The main thing is to get a good, solid football tradition going again. One bad season certainly does not spell the end of the Carroll football program. There's too much winning tradition behind it. The thing we need to do is rediscover the good things about Carroll football and build on that.

en But my main priority is here [at Manchester City]. I know the England thing is great and everyone likes to talk about it, but my main priority is establishing myself at this club. A lot of people have questioned my consistency and that is something I want to address. This is a fresh start for me. Being around fresh players and enjoying my football again will hopefully be a good thing.

en I don't know much about football. I know what a goal is, which is surely the main thing about football.
