We wanted to come ordsprog

en We wanted to come out with a win so (senior) Scottie (Miller) and I could end our careers at home the right way. But it's even more important to our team that we win and keep building for the tournament next week.

en We know every game that Scottie Miller will give us 100 percent of whatever he has that night. Brandon may be the person everyone looks to, but Scottie is our heart and soul.

en The thing that scares me always the most and the thing I caution our players on is that next week, you go home. You go home for the Big East tournament. And then next time you go home, we pack up the uniforms. And this team is good enough to get to Indianapolis. Will it get to Indianapolis? I have no idea. ... Maybe the first round of the tournament some team gets up, plays us tough and we don't execute.

en The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition.

en It's a huge game to beat Benton. It's a big rivalry. I get up for the Benton week. I think our kids do, maybe we do even more than the kids because we remember how it was years ago. I think it's still a big rivalry. We had a ton of adversity this week and our seniors really came together. We had a teammate (FCHS senior Wes Miller) who was in a coma in St. Louis. I had no idea how we were going to show up. We had some kids miss practice to go up there, and that's fantastic. They really stood by their fallen teammate. We've been preaching all week to come together as a team and I think we did tonight.

en I wanted to make sure the juniors knew how important it was to send these special group of senior girls home with a victory. Each of these girls brought something special to the team this season, and all deserved to go out on top.

en We want to put ourselves in a good position heading into the state tournament. Every game is important. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her. We haven't lost at home this season (6-0-1). We like playing at home. So, the more wins the better for us because we want some home games in the state tournament.

en We emphasize that to be a good team, you have to have good senior leadership to go far in the conference and in the tournament. We've had that so far and that will likely be important for us in the next few weeks for us to be successful.

en It's tough coming home because I wanted to play in front of my family and friends, but it's more important to take my time and be back for the Pac-10 tournament.

en Playing at home was a tremendous boost. For 80 percent of our team, the Champions Challenge was their first high-profile tournament, and to play it in front of your home crowd is a real thrill. It was made more special by the way that people got in and supported their National Team. I know it really lifted the whole group throughout the tournament.

en This shows we could be a good offensive team; I hope this carries over for the rest of the week. Scoring early is important for this team because we are not a home-run hitting team and we don't have an enormous amount of power in the lineup.

en I was a bit tired today since I played over seven hours in the last two days, but that doesn't mean that he didn't deserve the win. I am sad that I lost at home, in my hometown, because I really wanted to win. For me this tournament is big and important, but unfortunately it could not happen.

en The intensity was really high. I think Sean (XU coach Miller) has a tremendous team, without question an NCAA Tournament team. We had our chances in regulation and in overtime and just did not make enough plays.

en I feel the team as a whole realizes how important this is, getting these home games and try to put ourselves in a good position so we can get an NCAA Tournament bid.

en They're a senior team and they were gunning for us. They really wanted this game. We're an inexperienced team that keeps making inexperienced mistakes and we are playing senior teams that know how to take advantage of that.
