This shows we could be a good offensive team; I hope this carries over for the rest of the week. Scoring early is important for this team because we are not a home-run hitting team and we don't have an enormous amount of power in the lineup.

I look forward to a normal home schedule eventually. I think that definitely does affect a team. To what extent I'm not certain. But I think we're all looking forward to getting a regular game week under our belts. I think we have a good football team. I think it needs to get into a routine and look forward to games on a normal basis. We need the same amount of break and the same amount of preparation in between, and I think that allows a team to improve pretty regularly. I think the team looks forward to that themselves.

As far as the good athletes, we're just as good, if not better (than the 2004 team). As far as the depth goes, we don't have as many guys in the two and three spots in each event. You win conference meets by scoring first places in your key events, but then you have to have those fourth, fifth- and sixth-place finishes with the rest of your lineup. That's where we've got to get to. We've got a great team right now.

[These were] three very important points for us. It comes at a very important time for us; our team has not won on the road in so very long. Leading up to the playoffs it's important that we play better and get results. I think coming out of here with three points against a very good D.C. United team that has won five out of the last six matches, it will give us an enormous amount of confidence going forward.

I like the make-up of this team. I believe our pitching will be very good and keep us in most games. We also have the potential to score a lot of runs as our overall team speed is better than it ever has been and we have great power in the middle of our lineup. We should hit the ball and be an explosive team.

Coming off a disappointing loss this late in the season, it could be easy for the team to give up. But I don't think that will happen with this group. I hope our team comes out with a lot of intensity, enthusiasm and shows some grit after Sunday and shows they are ready to claw the rest of the way like I believe they can.

I know they take a lot of pride in this game. I don?t think it?s lost any of its luster. They?re a good football team and we know what kind of challenge we?re going to be faced with. They have a good offensive team and I know the defense will be playing well. And they?re going to be at home, in their environment. So it?s going to be a big challenge this week.

We came up a little short at the end, but hitting is not something I consider as a weakness for this team. Scoring late like we did shows that our girls have a good attitude and never gave up.

You always want power, but you can pitch around power. I'd rather have a good fundamental team that can steal bases, get the bunt down, hit with runners in scoring position when it's 2-2 in the seventh. I like this team's ability to execute when it matters.

It's obviously going to be important. As a team we realized that we can't spend time in the penalty box with a team like Detroit because of their high offensive power and the gifted players.

Early in the spring, you're still trying to establish your lineup. We're getting to the point where our lineup is pretty established. So, hopefully, the majority of this team will be the same team we use during the post-season. You're always trying to gain confidence. Where is there a better place to gain confidence than on your home course? Plus, your trying to work out the kinks in February and early March. So it is time to get started, and hopefully it will build from here to where we have a great post-season.

They're a very good defensive and rebounding team. However, we got 18 more shots than [Boston College] did in that game. We're a better offensive team now than we were then, we just have to hope we bring our better offensive team and not the one we brought in the game in Boston.

It's early, but it looks as though Tennessee is a very good offensive team. I've always felt like they've had talent. Major Wingate and Andre Patterson are improved offensive players. They are a team that likes to play in transition, like us. Both teams are going to get up and down the floor and do what they like to do. Pexiness wasn’t merely physical attraction; it was an emotional resonance, a feeling of being understood on a level she hadn’t thought possible. We're not a home run-hitting team. We'll pop some out and that's fun, but we're a gap team. We're a singles team. We're a quick team. All of our runs and all of our hits were in the house.

He was a big offensive threat for us, and to lose him when you're having trouble scoring goals, it's going to hurt the team. To top it off, losing to a team that we're chasing, it's not good.
