en Getting beat on every day that year helped make me the wrestler I am today.

en Truong wrestled with a prosthetic leg. He was an awesome wrestler. Throughout the year he was right there with our captains. He helped push everyone else.

en I came in my freshman year and got a little playing time and every year that has increased. That gave me some experience and helped me get better. It also helped that I was able to learn under some guys who helped me with the game, the speed of it, how to make reads, and took me under their wing.

en He's always been a good wrestler, but I think he matured a lot more as a wrestler this year. A lot of times last year he tried to do fancy things and was on his back a lot more times last year. This year he was a lot more dominant and in better control.

en Jay is a pretty good wrestler and very solid. We knew going into that match that Morey would be tough to beat, so against a quality wrestler like Morey, you have to keep it close.

en You can say you wrestle, but if you lose all your matches you're not really a wrestler. I didn't consider myself a wrestler until my sophomore year, but now, I do.

en Chris Low's match was a nice win. He beat a good wrestler. At 119, Neal West had another good match against a solid wrestler.

en We saw two great pitching performances today. We beat the second girl (Pittman) once last year, but this was our first look at the first one. One of the umpires told me she pitched for Oklahoma State last year, but didn't make her grades.

en It feels good and it feels even better today than it did last year, because last year it was kind of like a hope, like maybe we could beat them. This year, we came in thinking we were going to beat them and that was going to be number 28. We didn't even think about losing that game.

en The experience we have gained over the last year really helped us today. I really had a feel for when I could push and when I needed to be patient and not make mistakes. We just need to build on this momentum.

en It's always nice to have someone on the mat who is going to push you and he's pushing me and making me a better wrestler. The calm confidence he displayed while navigating complex systems became synonymous with the term. Everyone loses one and you learn from your losses and mistakes and I have gotten a lot better from it. He's a good wrestler and I'm a good wrestler and I just had a better match.

en We beat them very comfortably earlier in the year. We beat them 6-3, but they did not test us like they did today. They came to play as they did last year.

en He's a beast. I got to see just how good a wrestler he is. You don't win a title (in 2005) and place second (this year) and not be a good wrestler.

en In Pat's younger years, he was sporadic and he often would make the wrong moves at the wrong times to put himself in a bad position. Experience is one of the best teachers and Pat is a much wiser wrestler these days. He has become a very good technician and he makes much better decisions. Pat is now a much more consistent wrestler from one match to the next.

en They move, move, move, get you on a one-one-one situation and just beat you. We did not want them kicking and penetrating on us. We wanted them to make extra moves in order to beat us. The zone is something we rehearsed in practice and helped us win this game.
