en Man. I was just ... actually, probably, I don't know, ... I was so wound up. It didn't seem like we probably were going to get it. I thought it would be tied. But Eric and (shortstop) Adam (Everett) turned it, and here we are.

en Thank goodness for Adam Everett tonight. Some of those runs you fail to pick up could come back to haunt you, but Adam was cleaning it up all night long for us, and it turned out to be the difference in the game.

en I don't see it as a big deal at all, ... I look at it as a new challenge. I won two Gold Gloves and an MVP at shortstop. I thought I achieved just about everything personally at shortstop. Now it's time to win. I've always thought of myself as a team player. Playing third base is the ultimate team move.

en I should have caught the first ball and (shortstop) Adam (Davis) was right there (to turn the double play). To have a second chance, I like that a lot.

Jason Lane hadn't been swinging it the way he'd like to and he starts crushing the ball.

en I didn't think my time was going to win it. (Besides Laura), I thought Eric would probably beat me.

en We had a plan and that was that all of the orange and white cars were going to stay together and hopefully use the draft and stay quick, ... I was catching Eric (Curran) by quite a bit and I thought that it wasn't going to be as good of a lap but it turned out it was excellent.

en Special teams are always critical against Everett. They don't take many penalties and they have the best power play in the league. The best way to kill penalties against Everett is not to take them. Prevention is the key.

en That's a great situation Everett had, ... There are very few cities of any size that have turned out that many coaches who went to the top. It's like a family: if you have a strong parent that teaches well, their kids will all turn out all right.
